Patients who have left-sided breast cancer are prone to the risk of cardiovascular diseases after undergoing radiotherapy sessions. With the implementation of heart-sparing radiotherapy techniques, the risk of cardiovascular disease is lowered. There are three ways by which heart sparing can be performed on patients, which includes: keeping the heart out of the treated volume, or by volumetric modulated arc therapy, or by implementing modern radiation techniques like intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT)
